Andrew Lynch is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and producer. Hailing from a small town in Alaska, he embodies that fragile yet wild sense of place in his music. Lynch’s piano-driven, lyrical feasts take the context of a simple pop song and infuse it with “unique perspectives and unreliable narrators to create a bittersweet world of insecurities and foibles that seems sentimental, comical, twisted and relatable at the same time.” (Radio Free Silver Lake)
Andrew Lynch got his start working as a studio assistant for the Dust Brothers where he crossed paths with John Cale, a major influence. Most recently he produced and engineered the latest album from Silver Lake indie-rockers Earlimart, Hymn and Her. He has released a solo EP, Samaritopia, and a full-length with his band The Poor Excuses, Come On The Future. Other studio pursuits include two records with LANDy (Adam Goldberg), Omar Rodriguez-Lopez’s (Mars Volta) forthcoming “bossa nova” effort, the debut album of Paul Simon’s middle son, Harper Simon, and the score for Drew Barrymore’s roller derby film “Whip It” with The Section Quartet. Additionally, Lynch has either performed with, produced, and/or engineered The Black Pine, Eagle and Talon, Afternoons, Castledoor, Amateurs, Rademacher and Go West Young Man.
